More About This Course

 

Everyone has the right to live free from all forms of abuse and neglect. But abuse still happens either from the actions or inaction of others.

Introduction to Safeguarding is a half-day course for new starters and refreshing staff in health and social care.

Learners will talk about the signs and indicators of abuse to enable them to recognise where it may be happening.

The course will help people feel confident to take action to report and protect the vulnerable person.

Aim of The Course
  • To educate learners in what abuse is and recognition of the signs that abuse may be happening.
  • To promote best practice in preventing abuse from occurring.
  • To support staff in making judgements and the reporting process.
Objectives of The Course
  • To understand how to safeguard and protect children, young people or vulnerable adults in the workplace.
  • Know how to respond to evidence or concerns that a child, young person or vulnerable adult has been abused.
  • To know what safeguarding legislation and guidance exists to protect vulnerable people.

This course is 4 Hours

Assessment Process for this course

Learners will engage in a series of group activities and feedback sessions to assess learning.

Certification Options

The learner will be awarded a certificate with Aiker Training.
