Paediatric First Aid is essential for services looking after children and infants. This 2-day course delivers the content and standard required by EYFS and OFSTED.
This 2 day Paediatric First Aid course will cover the following topics and more:
Day 1
- Role of the Paediatric First Aider
- Primary survey
- Secondary assessment
- Resuscitation and defibrillation
- Seizures
- Choking
- Wounds, bleeding, and shock
- Bites and Stings
Day 2
- Bones, joints, and muscle injuries
- Head and spinal injuries
- Foreign body and eye injuries
- Chronic medical conditions and illnesses
- Effects of heat and cold
- Electric shock incidents
- Burns and scalds
- Poisoning
- Anaphylaxis
